Native Americans in the state of Nebraska who need assistance with paying their energy bills can apply for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). The program is federally funded and helps those with low incomes be able to pay for their heating and cooling bills. You can apply online, by mailing in the application, or by calling them.  Heating bill assistance is available from October through March each year, while cooling bill assistance is available from June through August. Native Americans in the state of Nebraska who need cash grants or assistance may qualify for the program called Temporary Assistance for Needy Families. The program was formally called Aid to Dependent Children (ADC). The program provides a monthly cash grant that can be used for living expenses.
